How do I participate in medical research studies?

What are the benefits?

In many cases, study medication and doctor visits and consultations are provided. Some studies also provide a stipend for participating.

What are the risks?

Most studies are clinical trials of investigational medications, so you will be made aware of the possible side effects of medication.

How long do the studies last?

Studies may last from a period of weeks to about a year. If you need to leave a study for any reason, you may do so at any time.

What about health insurance and privacy?

Health insurance and referrals are not required to participate. We closely monitor your health during the study and protect your privacy.

What else do I have to do?

You will need to sign a consent form, answer health questions and provide information on your current medications.
